St. Stephens Church - Tauranga
The former St. Stephens Church had Asbestos texture applied to its upper walls and ceilings.
While the bulk of the removal work was accessible from our mobile scaffold, the steeple in an “A Frame” configuration was scaffolded by Acrow Scaffolding.
This scaffolding was masked out in such a way that the texture being removed was funneled down the centre straight into official bags for disposal.
As with all our work, the Health Protection Department monitors the air within the building and air clearances are achieved before allowing other trades to start their works.
Upon completion of our contract, the Methodist parish arranged for the steeple to be removed. The building has since been developed into meeting rooms.
